Every garden in this portfolio started with a conversation. A client with an idea, a section with potential, and a process that turned one into the other. Have a look through the projects below to get a feel for the kind of work I do, and the variety of outdoor spaces I've had the pleasure of creating across South Canterbury.
Peel St was a highly visible, unusual shaped section with a large storm water system right in front of the living area of the house. It needed some creative thinking between the clients and I to make a garden that was pleasing to them and also to the retirement village across the road. With the help of Chitty Earthworks we created a mound covered in planting which will grow up to create privacy and presents a pleasent view from the street. We created a dry creek bed running through the garden which adds a dynamic element. I think that the house now sits nicely in the landscape and it is lovely to sit on the deck and look up past the planting to the bush clad hills beyond.
