Every garden in this portfolio started with a conversation. A client with an idea, a section with potential, and a process that turned one into the other. The only place to sit outside in the sun in this garden was out the front on the street. Not very private! The owner really wanted a garden she could invite people around for a coffee in. We started with less than a blank slate.
I began with a stylish fence and planting on the road frontage. Behind the fence I created a courtyard surrounded in garden. Louvres above can be adjusted to give shade from the sun if needed or stop the rain. Steps lead down onto the lawn with a feature tree in the middle.
With help from High Country Earthworks, we have successfully created a private oasis which the owner has made her own. I hope she has many happy hours there with friends and family.
